Deer Management in Kansas

KANSAS: Kansas is fast becoming the destination of choice for trophy minded Whitetail hunters.   We work very hard to give each hunter an opportunity at a  trophy whitetail.  So, for the past 12 years we have asked our hunters to pass up young bucks and shoot only mature deer.  This plan has worked very well and is now providing significant numbers of shooting opportunities at P&Y and B&C class animals.  Our management rules are as follows:

Hunters must only take bucks that score a minimum of 140 inches or are at least 4 1/2 years old.

If a hunter takes a buck that does not meet the above minimum requirements there will be an additional fee of $1000.00.
